Targeting Update This Weekend

There will be another round of targeting updates to increase revenue for publishers. If you notice any issues with your ads, please let us know by hitting the email address in the adcode section at the top.

Another issue that some people are noticing is that certain products don't show up in the ads even though they show up in the shopping pages. If this happens it is due to a category issue. The fastest way to fix this is to contact us and we'll send a ticket to fix the product alignment. We continually check for new products being put into wrong categories, but it is helpful to let us know your findings as well.

Edit: Monday will bring another round of targeting updates.

Adnet will be undergoing a new targeting algorithm to (hopefully) improve revenue generation for all publishers. We will be shunning away from the CPA offers and moving back to the higher value CPC ones.

Bad Keyed Clicks Rejected

There will be an update tomorrow to fix an annoying thing that some "savvy" users are doing. What happens is they remove the tracking information from the links that ASE Adnet provides and you lose money. There is a checksum attached to the link to stop this from happening and log the error... it seems there are a few offenders that are modifying the links to make you lose money.

Have no fear, there will be an update soon to stop this and just redirect back to the original page so the invalid clicks will not be done. It isn't widespread, but it will plug a very annoying hole.

Still Working On Targeting

I need to see how a full weekday handles itself. Make no mistake, impressions are down for pretty much every publisher site on the networks from last month. This coupled with a few other factors are making things difficult to tweak targeting.

It probably is going to be a bit. The economy is still taking a dump and it looks like people are scrambling instead of viewing our sites. Hopefully this situation will improve soon.
