New Provider Is Live

Posted on March 21, 2009 at 10:02:59 AM
All ads have been updated to provide enhanced data from the new backend data provider. In addition to the new CPC provider, Storm is ready to be used as well. Storm ads can be generated in the normal Ad Code section. We are updating all the guides and creating new ones this weekend to give publishers information on what the changes are and how to use the new functionality. There is another update that will hit staging soon to provide enhanced data for the UK region as well.

Shopping Page Change

The new update to Adnet will usher in a new primary CPC provider and with that comes a whole host of changes. You can still retain your shopping pages by pointing the include to http://www.aseadnet.com/shoppingold.php instead of shopping.php. This can be changed on your include pages right now.

The new shopping pages are much more in-depth and provide a wealth of information to help people with their purchases. New guides will be released soon on how to integrate the shopping page onto your own domain.

The planned update should take place on Monday or Tuesday. There will be no changes needed for live ads. New features will be added for live ads soon that you will probably want to update them sooner or later.

GB CPC Online

ASE Adnet has added GB CPC to the production servers. The CPC rate will be less than the primary North American provider (they all are). We are constantly evaluating new data providers to give the best possible rates. We already were testing a provider that focused on Europe as a whole, but they didn't pay (at all) and the couldn't report accurate data. ASE Adnet strives to provide the best service with the most accurate data possible. Our commitment is to the publishers.

Working On European CPC

Posted on November 11, 2008 at 10:07:30 PM
ASE Adnet has begun work on feasibility tests for an entire European CPC, not just the UK. Just as the Oceania CPC is, the European CPC provider will not provide the same revenue rate as the primary North American one.

We're projecting probably about 10 cents per click (about) on average. We'll see how everything goes. The other issue is that there are no "products," instead, there are "offers" which means that a keyword search will bring up multiple singular offers that may or may not be the same item... Regardless, these issues are relatively minor and the staging area will be updated this week or next with brand new code to provide this new CPC market.

Australian CPC Coming This Week

The Australian CPC update will be rolled out on the entire production network sometime this week. Be aware that you won't get nearly as good CPC as the North American market, but it is extra revenue that would have been otherwise lost. The additional markets are also coming soon and eventually no nonforced CPA publisher will have CPA ads.

This update also bring a few new goodies in general to the system. You'll be able to show your own rating images. More on that soon.

The next market after Australia should be the UK.

CA/UK/AU/BR/MX/... CPC Coming

I'm working on a huge update to ASE Adnet to provide CPC pricing information for all the regions in the title.

Canada
Great Britain
Australia
Brazil
Mexico

This is all preliminary and feasibility tests will be starting soon. If you have high non USA traffic, please let me know as I could really use some testers.

Canada will be the first region to supplement the current USA (North America) CPC pricing. This will increase CTR for Canadian readers as the prices will be listed in CAD instead of USD and will show Canadian sellers.

Once again, this is all in the feasibility stage of things. I'm sure that most regions will be validated for use on ASE Adnet, but you never know. CPA sources will still be used outside those target regions.

I expect that ASE Adnet will truly become a one stop shop for all regional CPC price comparisons. It is also for this reason that you should switch to keyword ads if you are using PID type, or at least add default keywords in for these new ad regions. PIDs only work with the Primary USA CPC provider.

UK High End CPA - Sunday

Good news everyone! The Amazon US/UK CPA ads are completely stable on the staging site and will be released Sunday at about 12:00AM EDT. I'll do Server2 first a bit before and then do Server1.

The Amazon ads are of a much higher quality than the Ebay CPA defaults. The new ads still target CPC ads for English speakers except those in the UK region.

In addition to the Amazon CPA, I'm 90% sure that I will have a CPC shopping provider for the UK area as well which means that all of Europe should be covered by this as well. The new shopping provider will be able to price direct Canadian pricing as well.

In addition to the addition, I'm still investigating AU pricing as that is a big market as well. I've got a few ideas progressing about that and will be pursuing that as well.

If you have questions or concerns, please email me... aron@aselabs.com

Old Targeting Back

Poster: Aron Schatz

The drop in revenues will cease starting today as ASE Adnet went back to the old way of targeting. We are showing the North American CPC ads for all English speaking people once again.

Once international CPC is released, we will begin to tweak the targeting mechanisms to provide the highest revenue possible.

High Quality International CPA Soon

Poster: Aron Schatz

I'm happy to report that progress is going very quickly with the new higher quality CPA ads. They will only be targeted for the UK (and North America if you forced CPA). This data will be provided by Amazon and is a much higher quality than the Ebay CPA ads that are currently being shown.

I'm going to add a new variable to two as well. Customizability is one of the key points of ASE Adnet and with all these new data sources come new challenges. I'm going to specifically add a variable that allows the image size to be relaxed. Right now, the ads are made for three image sizes; 60x60, 100x100, and 160x160. The new data sources (and soon to be others) don't always offer a square image. It is for this reason that the size had to be scaled to fit the current layouts. Once the new relaxed image variable comes out (unsure of how it will be implemented just yet), all the styles will be updated.

There is also some good news for international CPC pricing. I'm currently going over a few different providers and will have more information soon.
