A friendly reminder to all publishers; Make sure you switch up your layouts every once in awhile. Changing the colors or fonts or even the entire layout usually brings a healthy boost in CTR. Readers become complacent when they see the same ad over and over and gloss over it without seeing it anymore. If you'd like help, send an email listed in the Ad CP.

If you are a publisher that has recently applied, have you checked out our requirements listed on the home page? Many sites applying aren't in English. This is a basic requirement since our ads are in English. If you don't meet our requirements, you will not be accepted. It is as simple as that.
The other requirement that most sites are lacking is the original content point. Many applicants are aggregation sites that pull from other sources. ASE Adnet is only looking for high quality sites that make their own original content. Please be sure to check the requirements before applying.

We have updated the revenue reports with the current data we have from our sources. This should be considered preliminary data and will probably be updated in a few days time. The reports will be correct from 2010-01-14 and on. Reports from 2010-01-06 to 2010-01-13 will probably fluctuate while we get better data from that time period. As we get more information, we will update you.

We find the situation unacceptable but we are still waiting on the data provider to release updated reports. The data is there, but a bug in their system is preventing the reports from being generated on their end. Hopefully this situation will be resolved on Tuesday. We are in constant contact with the data provider to expedite the resolution.

The data provider is having a few issues with reporting starting from 2010-01-07. We don't expect this to be remedied before the end of the weekend. Once Monday rolls around, we'll be sure to get the revenue reports up to date. Sorry for the delay.

As Server1 was processing its log files, Apache segfaulted which happened at about 9AM UTC. Ads and shopping pages should have been up for the most part since Server2 was running without a problem. Apache is up and running again on Server1 and we're investigating the problem.

We'll be rolling out a soft release of the new Deals section at ASE Adnet. This is a manual posting thing so we're aiming for high quality deals only. We'll be looking up new deals daily all over the internet from merchants and even other deals sites to bring you the best possible deals.
There is a publisher API RSS feed that goes along with the Deals section as well, more on that at a later date. If you are interested in using Deals on your own site, please contact us.

We're beginning to create a brand new section at ASE Adnet for bringing publishers the ability to bring the last deals and coupons to your readers. This section builds on the new Links that were added recently. We're interested in feedback on how you (the publisher) would like the deals page and/or RSS feed to function and what content to put in. A deals page will be able to bring extra traffic to your sites and provide a good bit of revenue as well. Since this new system builds on the Links system, it will be CPS. We plan on adding many more merchants for this new area at ASE Adnet.

We've added GameStop to the Links system and like Walmart, GameStop doesn't have an easy to digest way of searching for products so the best way to drive traffic to individual pages is to use the ASE Adnet Affiliate Link Bookmarklet in the Links area.
We already have commissioned sales from the Links system! We're working on a new report (Commission) that will display whatever commissions you have along with the sale amount and percentage you'll get from the sale. The new commission reports will be a flowing report that might change due to returns or increasing in percentages for performance. We anticipate a release of this report by tomorrow.

The first big retailer has hit ASE Adnet's Link section for everyone to use. While ASE Adnet caters to the computer and electronic crowd, we strive to offer advertisements for all product categories. We haven't integrated direct to ASE Adnet product searching from Walmart yet so you'll have to use the bookmarklet or grab a direct link if you want to link to products right now.
This will be the last update before Thanksgiving. We have much bigger plans than just adding more merchants to the Links section. We're working on a few ideas for dynamic content. That's all we'll expose for now.
Happy Thanksgiving if we don't post an update tomorrow!

We know we said we expected two new merchants to be added, but we feel that Best Buy was good enough to be released on its own. We'll be releasing more merchants for the Links system in the coming days as well. Don't worry about Black Friday being missed if you can't implement Links quickly on your sites, there is plenty of time to get revenue in the future.

We anticipate at least a couple of new merchants added to the new Links section (Ad CP -> Affiliate Links) along with some other minor updates. In addition, we'll be looking over the best way to provide hybrid product ads. Expected testing for hybrid ads will be next week for the staging area and will be an optional thing for each publisher.
A word about Links; most merchants allow the affiliate cookie to last for a month or so. Regardless if you make a sale on the first click out is not important. If the reader makes a purchase at a later date from your Link, you still get the credit. That's why giving readers more information about products before sending them to the merchant is important. Allow them to make good purchases and your revenue will flow in much more.
One more thing, we are eying another possible revenue stream that may include a feed to work well. We'll have more information as this progresses. We would love to hear your feedback, our email address is listed on the Ad CP page.

If you haven't noticed, ASE Adnet is undergoing some theme changes. We are working on keeping the layout a bit more simplistic and getting you the information you need to make money, fast. We've also updated the CPC adcode page simple generator with a brand new color picker from jscolor. If you are getting problems on the adcode page, make sure you hard refresh to grab the new javascript files. We are working on more theme changes soon, if you have any thoughts or ideas, the email address to use is listed in the Ad CP.
